Treatment for your acne should be accompanied by a healthy skin care  routine.

1…Wash the affected area twice a day with mild soap. Use soap such as Dove, or  one that contains benzoyl peroxide, such as Oxy-5. Wash as often necessary to  keep the area clean. Do not scrub.

2…Shampoo the hair regularly.

3…Keep long hair off the face and shoulders and wash it daily.

4…Avoid shaving as much as possible; while shaving take care to avoid nicking  the pimples.

5…Use a fresh shaving blade to minimize the chance of spreading the  infection.

6…Avoid use of make-up or cosmetics in areas prone to acne. If you have to wear  make-up, use only the hypoallergenic or fragrance free kind.

7…Don’t pop, pick, scratch, or squeeze your pimples. This may cause infection  and scarring.

8…You may use an over-the-counter treatment that contain substances such as  benzoyl peroxide (gel or cream) or salicyclic acid. Start with the lowest  strength and apply once a day about half an hour after washing. Never use more  than 5 percent strength without consulting a physician.

9…Food and Nutrition Recommendations for Acne:

Some doctors  believe that acne is not a food related problem. Some alternate practitioners  use diet as a basis for their treatment of acne. They recommend that acne  patients should eat foods high in beta-carotene, such as carrots, pumpkin,  cantaloupe and other yellow-orange fruits and vegetables. They should also avoid  fatty foods. Acnezine controls the oil secretion in your body to  protect your skin from getting acne prone.

10…Vitamin Therapy for Acne:

Nutritionists generally  suggest:Chromium supplements – Chromium helps boosts the body’s ability to  break down glucose.Vitamin A – reduces sebum and keratin production.  (Caution: taking mega doses of Vitamin A can cause headaches, fatigue, muscle  and joint pain and other side effects. Consult a qualified practitioner before  taking mega supplements).Vitamin E – an antioxidant (200 to 400 IU a  day).Vitamin B-6 50 mg per day. This vitamin aids in the metabolism of  hormones and supports the function of Acnezine as well.

Note: People should not try to medicate themselves or others  with any of the methods referred to here without the guidance of a qualified  practitioner who is thoroughly familiar with both the remedies and the  individual’s medical status.

I personally was disappointed by this product. The green did not conceal my red. It acted more as a primer than a concealer. The green looked like it would do very well, but it didn’t. It just blended in and disappeared. The only thing I liked about this concealer was the 1% Salicylic Acid. When I put a dab on a blemish in the morning, the blemish would go down in size by the end of the evening.

What is your take on this product?

Prednisolone Acetate Opthalmic Solution Rx 5 mL

Prednisolone Acetate Ophthalmic Suspension USP 1% is an adrenocortical steroid product prepared as a sterile ophthalmic suspension. CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY Corticosteroids inhibit the inflammatory response to a variety of inciting agents and probably delay or slow healing. They inhibit the edema fibrin deposition capillary dilation leukocyte migration capillary proliferation fibroblast proliferation deposition of collagen and scar formation associated with inflammation. There is no generally accepted explanation for the mechanism of action of ocular corticosteroids. However corticosteroids are thought to act by the induction of phospholipase A2 inhibitory proteins collectively called lipocortins. It is postulated that these proteins control the biosynthesis of potent mediators of inflammation such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes by inhibiting the release of their common precursor arachidonic acid. Arachidonic acid is released from membrane phospholipids by phospholipase A2. Corticosteroids are capable of producing a rise in intraocular pressure. INDICATIONS AND USAGE Steroid responsive inflammatory conditions of the palpebral and bulbar conjunctiva cornea and anterior segment of the globe such as allergic conjunctivitis acne. rosacea superficial punctate keratitis herpes zoster keratitis iritis cyclitis selected infective conjunctivitides when the inherent hazard of steroid use is accepted to obtain an advisable diminution in edema and inflammation; corneal injury from chemical radiation or thermal burns or penetration of foreign bodies. CONTRAINDICATIONS Prednisolone Acetate Ophthalmic Suspension USP 1% is contraindicated in most viral diseases of the cornea and conjunctiva including epithelial herpes simplex keratitis (dendritic keratitis) vaccinia and varicella and also in mycobacterial infection of the eye and fungal diseases of ocular structures. And please no micheal jackson stories or comparisons. The reason why i want to lighten my skin is due to shaded areas on my body. And im almost damn near black im Brazilian though lol any suggestions?????

It is absolutley IMPOSSIBLE to do this. You are risking your health if you so much as try. You could damage your liver such that you need a transplant.
Please, accept the way you are. Get some psychological help if need be.

I’ve been using Proactiv for quite a few years now and while it does keep my face fairly clear – it’s doesn’t keep away the smaller zits nor does it give me the "amazing clear skin" the people on the ads seem to have. I’ve been thinking about switching to Clinique but not sure if I should take the plunge. Has anyone tried both? What were your results?

I am not sure about Clinique because i haven’t used it myself. I did however used proactive but once I stopped using it my acne would come back.

I started looking for natural remedies and came across the Acne free in 3 days program. That too didn’t go too well. But another program the 14 Days Acne Cure helped me a lot and now I am acne free. I think you may want to check it out too.

Hopefully that helps
