I’m 16 yrs old. I’ve never had too much trouble with acne. However, recently I’ve developed a few bumps on my forehead and a few small pimples on my cheeks. No matter what products I use they won’t seem to go away. I’ve used both biore and clean and clear astringents, as well as, neutrogena oil free acne wash and neutrogena power clear scrub for the past 2 months with little results. Which acne cleansers have worked best for you?
I know what you’re going through. I am 16 and I never had acne until about June of this year. The products that you have been using are very harsh. Sometimes it’s better to use less potent products and use more gentle ones. They may not give you immediate results, but in time they’ll help. So I’ll tell you all of what I do, and maybe it will give you some ideas.
1. Cetaphil Daily Skin Cleanser for Normal to Oily Skin
2. Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner
3. Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer (You can use any oil-free moisturizer, this one is a bit expensive.)
4. I spot treat at night only with a dab of tea tree oil on any blemishes. (You can get tea tree oil at any health food store- but be ready for the terrible smell if you decide to try it!)
So yeah, I do that day and night. Also, make sure if you wear makeup, to take it off with makeup remover or olive oil before you wash your face at night! Hope I’ve helped!
My skin is oily, but it dries out easily and most cleansers make my face bright red and irritated. Benzoyl peroxide doesn’t work at all for me, so it needs to either be something with salicylic acid or just nonmedicated.
Also, please tell me the name of the cleanser. For some reason people keep recommending brands… (why?! that’s not the least bit helpful)
all of my friends have tried toothpaste and they always tell me that it works they put it on their face for about 15 seconds every night ooh and don’t let you hair touch your skin too much because it has oils and can make u oily.
I’m at the age where I’m getting acne. I saw this clearasil ice wash acne gel cleanser in the bathroom and tried it out. It worked great. But, I don’t know if I should keep using it. Should I?
yes clearasil worked for me. you should definitely give it a try.
I have been extracting and applying real, pure aloe vera gel from the aloe vera plant every other week for the past month or so, and the results? Well, I have not needed to wear any foundation or concealer for the past week!!! My skin has been breakout-free and smooth as a baby’s butt recently!
However, I don’t know what I’m gonna do when I run out of leaves, because no new leaves have grown from the cut off parts!!! Maybe I gotta buy a new plant everytime I have used up all the leaves? We’ll see… If it gets too pricey, I’ll just have to switch back to drugstore aloe vera gel
Remember, folks: keep it refrigerated, avoid exposing it to sunlight, and try to use it all up in the following days (as its potency decreases with time)!!!

My skin is in between severly oily and normal, but I have a problem with small whiteheads appearing if I sweat alot or if I do not scrub my face well. I am wondering what the best acne treatment is for this condition.
St. Ives apricot scrub is good and it’s not expensive. So is clearasil. They have different grades of cleansers so that you can choose which is right for you.
If you want to go a little more expensive, then neutrogena carries some really good cleansers.
Older cleansers are noxema, and it’s still around and it still is a good one. Dove soap is also good. Keeps your skin in balance.
Hope this helps

like won’t they both do the same job in getting rid or and preventing acne?
i know acne ones usually have ”sacicylic acid”in them,,,BUT what is the difference?? like don’t they both do the same job?
No, most products labeled "acne" have a medicinal ingredient like salicylic acid.

I had bought clearasil face wash but then I didn’t use it for like two or three months because I was using something else.
So do you think the cleanser is still fine?
It should have an expiration date on the bottle, and unless you bought it at a dollar store or discount online store, where it could be really ancient, it is almost certainly still fine.
