Treatment for your acne should be accompanied by a healthy skin care routine.
1…Wash the affected area twice a day with mild soap. Use soap such as Dove, or one that contains benzoyl peroxide, such as Oxy-5. Wash as often necessary to keep the area clean. Do not scrub.
2…Shampoo the hair regularly.
3…Keep long hair off the face and shoulders and wash it daily.
4…Avoid shaving as much as possible; while shaving take care to avoid nicking the pimples.
5…Use a fresh shaving blade to minimize the chance of spreading the infection.
6…Avoid use of make-up or cosmetics in areas prone to acne. If you have to wear make-up, use only the hypoallergenic or fragrance free kind.
7…Don’t pop, pick, scratch, or squeeze your pimples. This may cause infection and scarring.
8…You may use an over-the-counter treatment that contain substances such as benzoyl peroxide (gel or cream) or salicyclic acid. Start with the lowest strength and apply once a day about half an hour after washing. Never use more than 5 percent strength without consulting a physician.
9…Food and Nutrition Recommendations for Acne:
Some doctors believe that acne is not a food related problem. Some alternate practitioners use diet as a basis for their treatment of acne. They recommend that acne patients should eat foods high in beta-carotene, such as carrots, pumpkin, cantaloupe and other yellow-orange fruits and vegetables. They should also avoid fatty foods. Acnezine controls the oil secretion in your body to protect your skin from getting acne prone.
10…Vitamin Therapy for Acne:
Nutritionists generally suggest:Chromium supplements – Chromium helps boosts the body’s ability to break down glucose.Vitamin A – reduces sebum and keratin production. (Caution: taking mega doses of Vitamin A can cause headaches, fatigue, muscle and joint pain and other side effects. Consult a qualified practitioner before taking mega supplements).Vitamin E – an antioxidant (200 to 400 IU a day).Vitamin B-6 50 mg per day. This vitamin aids in the metabolism of hormones and supports the function of Acnezine as well.
Note: People should not try to medicate themselves or others with any of the methods referred to here without the guidance of a qualified practitioner who is thoroughly familiar with both the remedies and the individual’s medical status.
i want to know if it will damage my skin or not. and can and exfolating cleanser also be used for getting rid of acne scars. I heard it can be cause it sheds off dead skin cells. anyway, can someone please give me info? Please and thank you!
I really don’t think this is a good idea! I once had normal skin before I used a bunch of skin products. Once the natural barrier of your skin becomes damaged, it can take years to repair it.
If your acne scars are new and still have discoloration, there are less abrasive ways to heal the scars than exfoliating cleansers, which often have chemicals that interfere with skin healing. Moisturizers and creams with tea tree, vitamin E and evening primrose are good choices because of the omega content. Also rose hip oil is good for scars.
Whatever you use, I’ve learned the hard way that doing too much to your face will make it worse! Use small amounts of cleansers, moisturizers and essential oils. Don’t use too many products, because the chemicals don’t mix.
Healing your skin comes from the inside. You should eat things that have a high content of unsaturated fats, like avocado’s, fish and unsalted nuts. They help to rebuild skin. Also fruits and vegetables are good because they have vitamins and minerals… and when you eat them it will find its way to your skin. It may take 3-6 months to see a difference.
Say goodbye to pimples by daily using a cleanser, toner and exfoliator while weekly using a clay mask and changing the pillow cases. Get rid of pimples with tips from a professional makeup artist in this free video on skin care.

so been using clean and clear morning burst and exfoiliting scrub at night. it look like it was working for awhile but noe i just broke alot more! i mean all over my face espeacily were i put the clean and clear. any ways should i keep using clean and clear or switch to a diffrent brand. my sister has noxima should i use that? i dont wanna switch to fast b/c i dont want it to mess up my skin. what should i do?
oh i also watch my face with dove soap before i put on the clean and clear. and in the shower
well i think you are washing tooo much. maybe do clean & clear once a day and don’t wash your face with the bar soap (that always causes itchiness if used too many times).
don’t use everything everyday. give it a rest.
hope this helped!
and if you have any other questions, ask a dermatologist or someone in that department
